Whoa.

That's what I thought when I looked at the contracts assignment for this weekend. Spring break is a week away and I was hoping to get ahead this weekend, but it looks like I'll be lucky to stay caught up. It's funny how people band together in law school (or maybe it's just this law school). With no afternoon class today (Professor was out, moved the class to earlier in the week) a group of us hit happy hour early. No one seemed to want to go home and face briefing at least a dozen cases for Contracts and then tackle the rest of our homework.

I'd like to go home and check on my dad. Sounds like his surgery went okay, but not great. My mom is sick too. Unfortunately I'm stuck deciding between going home and checking on them or getting a bunch of work done so I don't have to stress this next week. I could really use an extra day in the weekend this week.

On the upside, happy hour was fun. I was able to hang out with some people I haven't spent much if any time with since I got here and thus make new friends. I also got a chance to unpack another box. It seems to be a slow process, this unpacking thing. Law School seems to have frozen my ability to get much done on the apartment. Made it by Petsmart yesterday and got in my weight lifting for the week (40lb cat litter bag up three flights of stairs).

One more week. Five more days of class. Then.....SPRING BREAK! I'm so excited. I can't wait to come back to Austin and sleep past 6:50am and do pilates and see my friends and sleep past 6:50am. Oh...it will be joyous.

Now to tackles some more of this homework.
