I have an odd loneliness as Sunday night approaches. I have actually spaced out my enormous amount of reading such that I will have a few hours before bed (and bed occurring at a reasonable hour this week) to relax. Unfortunately my DVR (thus also the cable in general) decided Friday afternoon to go crazy and run on a loop which read: *squiggles* _ _ _ 2, boot, *blank*
No DVR, NO! I don't understand your garble, other than I know how that loop feels and really it's just better to move onto showing the time and dealing!
I called the Cable company and something is wrong with the box. I just need to take it in and replace it. Great! No, not great. They're not open on Sundays. I have to wait until tomorrow. Which really isn't that big of a deal, except now I'm without my lulling-to-sleep device, my reward for doing all my work this weekend in a timely fashion.
To add insult to injury, I'd recorded two of my favorite shows last week (House and Fringe) but had not had time to watch them yet. Guess what? Can't be saved. Won't be able to see them unless they're shown on a rerun. Thanks DVR, thanks. Not like you're my little touch of sanity during the week when I've been working like a mad lady. Nope, not a problem at all.
Darn you DVR!
Back to briefing.
