Refreshing Exercise

I managed to pull myself from a funk Monday after class with some yoga. As I felt my tight back releasing I felt my mind opening. I allowed myself one hour to focus on nothing. Whatever came to my head, I let be there and then let it go. I'm no yogi. I am far from being able to keep a clear mind. And I woke this morning feeling slightly better. Well really I woke wondering if I would feel bad skipping my first class so that I could enjoy another hour of sleep. And yes I would, so I got out of bed and went to class. But I felt slightly better today. Tomorrow I'm going to Golds for their version of yoga. I love the yoga studio I found here, but I can't afford to go but once a month, so I'm giving Gold's yoga-ish class another shot. I think it will be better than nothing.

Introduced a new mysterious toy to the cats tonight. A kong. The cat kongs only allow for filling with catnip. Which is great, but I've been reading that cats, like dogs, like to work for a treat or some food. So I bought a small doggy kong and put kitty treats in in. I'm not sure if it's going to keep the cats entertained for long, but so far it's pretty humorous to watch them watch the kong. They can smell the treats. They just can't figure out exactly how they're supposed to get the treats. I've rolled the ball kong around for them to show them that after awhile a treat comes out. They loved the treat part, but haven't quite figured out the rolling part. I figure it will give them something to do tonight. I have faith in them. They're smart. I don't think I'd understand that a rubber ball holds treats and that if I hit it for awhile the treats will come out for a little while either...if I was a cat I mean. So here's hoping this makes them happy and keeps the little one quieter tonight!
