As my mother will tell you, when I first moved away my freshman year of college, I would call home every few weeks and ask a simple question: Is it safe to drink the milk on the expiration date? For some reason I was really concerned about this and I also could never remember the answer. Needless to say I don't ask anymore. Indeed I often will drink the milk after the expiration date when it smells and tastes fine.
Why this conversation now? Well, this morning I had milk on my cereal (shocking I know) and my milk expired today. Tasted fine. Smelled fine. All was dandy. And yet...
It's what I instantly thought of when during my 8am Torts class I began to get really warm. I even broke out into a sweat. Then, oddly, I began to feel like I was going to pass out. This feeling only lasted a few moments, but the heat wave stuck around. By break time I was back at a normal temp, so I shrugged it off. I had had a fear I'd food poisoned myself (that possible with milk? I guess so). Then in my afternoon class (different room) the heat wave struck again. I feel like I'm going through menopause in my 20s. What gives? I blame the milk.
