I woke up five minutes before my alarm went off this morning. I hate when that happens. I'm not a morning person, so even though I know it's just five minutes, I usually question if I should roll back over and catch those five. The kitties, however, beckoned me out of bed.
So far so good with classes. My Wealth Transfers class still makes my stomach clinch a bit, but I figured it would. It's basically Trusts & Estates part two, so what's not to fear? Thankfully I managed to know what I was talking about despite feeling as though I'm speaking in Russian about an archaic society. My second class was quite enjoyable, but then I had this awkward gap, which I will have every Tuesday. It's a nearly 4 hour gap in my schedule. Normally I'd drive home and study or do housework, but this quarter the new Fall class is HUGE and there's not enough parking. I'm not giving up my precious third row spot. I'd have to park in a separate lot off law school campus when I came back, so I sat and did work..unfortunately the work I had with me took less time than I'd thought it would, and I didn't have ALL my books for ALL my classes with me, so I had some wasted time. I guess that's okay on day two. I'll have to remedy that situation next week.
Mr B is still out of town, so no glorious feast when I got home. In fact I really need to go to the grocery store. But this will have to wait until tomorrow because I'm just too tired today. In fact, I might go to bed early tonight, cats willing. When I got home and checked the mail I froze. I had a letter from my mom. I actually sat down and cried. Sounds a bit dramatic I know, but I haven't talked to her in weeks (feels like months) and I've really missed her. On Sunday night I cried for awhile when I realized that this was the first time in my life I didn't have her wishing me luck/a good day on my first day of school. So a letter made me cry too. It's the little things.
Went to the bookstore to return a book. It was a madhouse. Luckily the returns line was significantly shorter than the buy line. I was a little frazzled this year when buying books, so it didn't dawn on me that Wealth Transfers would use the same book as T&E. Ended up spending $120 on a book I already had. Thankfully got that money back. A friend told me Amazon will buy textbooks...Tax book sold for nearly $100! yes please. Unfortunately it's the only book they're buying that I have here with me, but hey! I didn't like that book anyways! Going out in the mail tomorrow. Amazon is an amazing company. Brilliant idea with the textbook thing. Brilliant. The bookstore here would have paid me maybe $30, which is why I usually don't sell my books back.
Well I need to go I suppose. Still need to cook dinner, do the last of my homework, and then proof Mr B's grad school app essay. Nice to read something different.
