a pair of jeans that fit just right and the radio on

Music is going to help save me, again. Mr. B drove back to Austin today to see a high school friend and to take care of some stuff the first half of the week. So today it's just me, the stereo and the living room. I'm cooking butternut squash soup (shocking I know) and listening to some of my favorite songs (current favorites, they change all the time). "She's not broken, she's just a baby..." Some gaga, some country, some alternative "I thought this wouldn't hurt a lot, I guess not". I'm doing well.

Got a recent Supreme Court case to read for tomorrow. Having to take it in little chunks as it's over a hundred pages long and it's HEAVY! I'll get there. Just gonna take some spazmatic dancing around my living room in between concurring and dissenting opinions. I'll get there.

Seem like a sudden change from my last post? Yeah, that's me for the past two weeks for you. Oh Kelly, you sure have the pipes on you. I'm staring at Mr B's drums wondering if I could teach myself. I've always wanted to learn to play an instrument. And by always I mean ever since I refused to do band or orchestra in middle school. Oh the things I'd do differently!! "If you don't get drunk on my kiss..." Reba still has it. "How about a strong shot of honestly, don't you owe that to me" I kinda wish I'd done choir too. I love to sing. I guess these are just more classes I'll have to take on weekends someday.

Anyways, feeling better today than yesterday, so felt the need to write. Since I'm in the empire state of mind ;) Couldn't resist.   And now back to Alito's decision. I'm assuming we still have a right to bear arms, and not just in federal law.

"shake it, shake it, shake it...shake it like a Polaroid picture..."
