Beware Ye Cat

Today was another lovely slow day. I joined my mom at the office for lunch. It was good to see her.  After lunch I was feeling rather tired. I went to my gym to get a pamplet on their spa services before returning home. I was so spaced that I completely forgot to stop and get a paint brush. Once home I taped the hallway (better late than never) until that bored me. This means it's still only half done. Then I sat down and messed around on my kindle looking for some new books. I still have new books on it that I haven't read yet, but I felt the need to look anyways. Once satisfied with that I began the process of updating myself on House. I haven't watched in three weeks, but now I'm up to this week's episode. Finally, I pulled weeds from the front beds until my roommate got home from work. We were updating eachother on our days when Mr B arrived and the three of us left to go vintage clothes shopping.

My roommate is new to Austin so I'm taking her around to see some of the stuff that my friends and I like to do. She's into vintage clothing as are my friends and so I was taking her to some of the local places like Flashback, Big Bertha's, etc. Big Bertha's has gotten EXPENSIVE! But I suppose Austin has been quite proud of its vintage for awhile now.

I'm not big on vintage clothing. I do like vintage inspired clothing or new clothes made in vintage style. But the vintage stuff itself does not fit me very well and usually I find the materials uncomfortable, especially for the price I'm paying. But my friends have always loved it, so I've frequented a few of the places in town over the years.

We went to dinner and this is something which really must stop. I think I spend too much money eatting out. It's not particularly good for you and it's a money waster. Mr B mentioned trying to eat healthier for a couple weeks and I'm fully embrasing this. We'll see how long that lasts.

Oh, and now to the title of the post. As we were winding down for the night, I decided to check on Tazzie outside. I opened the back door only to see two cats. I was confused for a second, wondering how Monty had gotten outside so quickly. Then I realized this other tabby was much smaller than Monty. Intruder! I frantically called for Mr B as I'm convinced there will be bloodshed. There wasn't. Taz was fine. Sam however is lingering at the window ready to bust open a can of whoop-ass on this other cat. She's very feisty.

And there it is. Nearly missed this entry as I feel prey to a sudden onset of exhaustion. Tomorrow I trek north to Waco. It seems to soon to be going back. It's only for the afternoon, but I'm not really looking forward to the drive. Luckily there's no class I'm attending. Just a meeting.

Goodnight and Sleep Well.
