SNOW!

Had to follow up that lost 'deep thoughts' post with something far more exciting. Coming from central Texas, hearing the newscasters say there's a chance of snow means nothing to me. Snow doesn't really happen in my hometown. I mean, it sleets and ices occasionally and we'll pretend that's snow. And it will snow for thirty minutes about every 5 to 10 years but it won't stick. So today, as I'm sitting in class thinking about how stupid the newsman is, there it was! Out the window I saw not just a few little baby flakes, but a freakin FLURRY! Now this snow didn't stick either, BUT it did last for over an hour. Those wenches of fate had the last laugh, as the snow stopped just as I was let out of class. But nothing, not even talk of Constitutional Law and women's rights could keep Bing Crosby from singing White Christmas in my head during class.

I find myself once again, for the tenth year in a row, dreaming of a white Christmas. Praying and pleading for snow on Christmas day (this year I'm smart enough to add specifics, as: in Austin, at my house, while I'm awake.)

  1. If you want a white Christmas... I have a house in Colorado you know?
