Let's Talk About Shoes

I can honestly say that I would pay 500 dollars to have a pair of basic pumps, not too basic, they need to be sexy, but you know, not super fancy pumps, that had my orthodic bed in them and/or ankle support (you know, like the stabilization/support some running shoes have). And why would I pay this? I mean, I could probably be persuaded to bust my savings bank and pay a little more than that if they were pretty. Why? Because some days a woman wants to feel pretty and sexy and doesn't want to wear running shoes.

As it is, I allow myself one day a week to wear either heels or my chacco flip flops (they're better than normal ones because they have more support in the arches). If I don't wear my running shoes with my orthodics the rest of the week my legs and back really hurt. But this isn't good. Every since I can remember, if I'm feeling crappy, or fat or just generally blah, the instant solution is to put on nice shoes. There's nothing like waking up in the morning, feeling like a lard-ass only to slip on a pretty pair of heels and magically feel better.

I miss that. Now, if I'm having one of those days I have to consider how much walking I'll be doing (regardless of if it's my comfy heels or not), if I'm going to need to wear heels for some reason later in the week and if I'm working out (because that adds strain to my legs and going from heels to working out usually makes my legs hurt).

So complicated!

Please, someone, Cole Haan, Weitsman, Kenneth Cole, Marc Jacobs, Manolo...someone! Make shoes that you can either custom order with your orthodic or at least sexy heels with good ankle support.
