I've removed the adult content warning from the blog. Life is decidedly more pleasant lately. New apartment, nearly done with finals, so nearly a new quarter of school and despite the insanity of the economic downturn, I'm feeling pretty good. Naturally I'm hopeful that the lying economists are right and that the economy is on the up, but I've decided to embrace school life and hope for the best. I've begun writing again. It's not very good, naturally. After nearly 6 years, it takes awhile to dust off the mind and open it back up to creativity. It's been nice though. I feel more myself again.
Let's talk cake. There's a lot of shows on tv about making crazy cakes, and I've got to say, they make me want to take a cooking class. It would be awesome to show up at somebody's party with a yummy tasting and crazy looking cake. Mr. Monkey is laughing at my latest desire to cook. He remembers the cake I made for Mr B's birthday.
Oh, I still have one more final. I need to study now. This quarter I've done my best studying in the evening. Mr Monkey seems to enjoy having the mornings off. More time to sip tea in his favorite chair and work the cross word puzzle.
